~LOVE~
The art of love can be scribbled in many ways, outlined in vibrant colors and still don’t mean a thing.

One with a rebellious mind….entwined in a poets rhyme. Going back and forth in time nestling between the notebook lines.

She said I have had so many heartaches, it’s gonna take, a miracle to make, me love again.
He said okay then, I will begin, to mend, your broken heart. I don’t care where it’s been. I am willing to go deep within and put each piece back together again…..and then, I will love you until the end.

”you you black man
stretching scraping
the mold from your body.
here is my hand.
i am not afraid
of the night.”

I made it home early, only to get
stalled in the driveway-swaying
at the wheel like a blind pianist caught in a tune
meant for more than two hands playing.
The words were easy, crooned
by a young girl dying to feel alive, to discover
a pain majestic enough
to live by. I turned the air conditioning off,
leaned back to float on a film of sweat,
and listened to her sentiment:
Baby, where did our love go?-a lament
I greedily took in
without a clue who my lover
might be, or where to start looking.

Passing Time
Your skin like dawn
Mine like musk
One paints the beginning
of a certain end.
The other, the end of a
sure beginning.
Maya Angelou
Don’t ponder on the things you don’t understand.
Just know everything that happens is a part of GODS plan.

Sweet, ripe and supple like a honey dew. Who knew the berry juice would be like voodoo and bring boo coo tears. Like the rain forest drenched in a monsoon atmosphere. Where things aren’t very clear at all.

The relevance of being prevalent is so very necessary if we are seeking change for the betterment of ourselves and others. Be that voice for someone who can’t speak…..that inspiration for someone who can’t reach, and then teach them to pass it along.

Sometimes you have to get so low that you scrape both your elbows and break a toe in order to know that you don’t want to end up on the floor.
